Where would I be… had my wife not dragged me into a gift paper shop in Kamakura? I can’t begin to tell you how many sheets of paper I bought in this store. It is however, this shop that got me thinking about random pattern making programs.

    Hello from Paris !

Just remenbering this conference 2 or 3 years ago in Le Centre Pompidou when you showed us all your creating process… i have a great memory of this moment, telling after the conference the story to all my friends, showing this beautiful japanese paper to all my friends. All the girls were like “waooooow !”.

What i like the most in you Joshua is your talent, and the way you like to share and explain to everybody. And what a showman ! ;)

PS : the next year, the french flash festival invited Jared Tarbell, and it was also a great moment, very nice guy.

    Come back to Paris !!

for me josh davis is like these old time pioneers who had the commitment to explore new grounds, new civilisations, daring to do what everybody else was dreaming about

it seems that Mr Davis is Always ahead of the crowd, at the image of Micheal Jordan at his time, and that’s why i never lose touch with his site

This ricepaper swf is one of my favorites. I use this example when people ask who is one of my favorite artist. When I mention Joshua Davis I’m often asked “what does he do?” I either show them the old Praystation site or your Flow presentation. I am delighted you are sharing these adventures.
