» Oktoberfest Skatepark , June 24th, 2005

In the late 80’s I was a sponsored amateur skateboarder. I took 1st at an AM competition in Denver, Colorado, got sponsored, and a year later moved out to Huntington Beach, California to pursue skateboarding.

I finished high school at Marina High School, where one of my classmates was Chet Thomas, who, at the time rode for Powell. We pretty much skated together all the time pushing each other to progress. We hit all the regular Huntington hot spots. Rode a few times with Ed Templeton, and actually rode a few times with Jason Lee, who had a 7 foot mini at his mom’s house (before he became an actor).

So even though I’m in my mid 30’s, I still pretty much skateboard as much as I can. These shots and video were taken by Niko Stumpo (of abnormalbehaviorchild.com and weareaiko.com fame) and Christian Flaccus at the skatepark where they throw Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany.

Wow! I didn’t know Joshua Davis can skate like that! Man thank you for the inspiration you bring to us. You really are one cool artist! And thanks for coming to Graphika Manila! You were really awesome!

    Thank you!

Good to see you have not forgotten your roots. Sk8ing is always a great way to forget about the real world. Your coding is amazing you give us amateurs something to work towards without losing our own creativeness. If that is even a fucking word, creativeness. Thanks!

that’s why I show both photos - going up and coming down in the second (and the video for ultimate proof).

    :)

for me this week… it’s skating while listening to the eagles of death metal.

I stumbled onto your site while looking for old TOOL art. While I didn’t find what I was looking for, I must say that your stuff was pretty good. It’s cool to see other skaters art, espescially when influenced by the greatest band ever. Listening to TOOL, while skating, will make you better.

P.S. I have trouble believing in the first ollie photo, too close to the rail.
