DESCRIPTION :

Designer and technologist Joshua Davis teams up with product architecture pioneers Commonwealth, in a digital-analog debate pitting traditional artistry against the latest in state-of-the-art design technology.

A series of 21 unique Commonwealth vs. Joshua Davis porcelain vases cast from SLA rapid-prototype originals absorb the graphic paint compositions generated by Joshua Davis. Each vase will be a modular variation of one basic archetype, following the ordered chaos of Davis’s signature algorithm-led artwork, and fitting with the organic-to-digital concept at the exhibition’s core.

21 vases, unique artwork on each

For vase availability, please contact the Espeis Gallery.

NOTE :

This artwork is part of a series released June 2007 for Maxalot’s Tropism exhibition presenting the work of Joshua Davis and Commonwealth at Espeis Gallery, New York.
