We confess. We felt confined by our "craft". Traditional illustrative - and even contemporary interactive media - are bound
by two dimensions: it sits on a wall, it sits on a screen. We asked, how can we extrude Joshua Davis' art into three dimensions?
We wanted to feel, touch, and wear what we were producing. Here are our first attempts and collaborations.

Working with Umbra industrial designer, David Quan, Joshua Davis adapted art from several collections including Tropism and Once Upon a Forest among others to produce the Artala can. We wanted to create Objects d’ art that were three dimensional and accessible to all. We have three flavors: Kiwi, Ocean and well…Red. You can taste the “Red”, can’t you? The other very nice part about these cans is that they’re made from degradable plastic which means, according to Product Manager, Patrick Desarzens, when these cans end up in the trash heap -not that we want to encourage this any time soon!- they’ll degrade five times faster than traditional plastic. Materials: Virgin polypropylene with printed exterior.
